Visitor Information
Heighington lies about five miles by road from the centre of the old Roman city of Lincoln. The attractive golden limestone houses of the old village cluster around the junction of the two roads and along the one that goes, by the village beck, down to the fen and it is here that we hold our Christmas market. Just 200 yards upstream from the main High Street lies the water-mill that for centuries, until the 1970s ground the corn produced by the local farmers. For more information about the village please see our parish website.
Heighington boasts two thriving public houses, The Turks Head and The Butcher and Beast, both of which serve good quality home cooked food and fine local Ales. For those wishing to venture further afield why not visit the sights of our nearest Roman City. Find out more about Lincoln
