Volunteer Roles

Volunteering at the market is a great way to meet new people, contribute to the community and help to make the market a success. It's also a lot of fun! You don't need to be available all day or all year.  Full training and support will be provided.

Here are some potential volunteer roles for Heighington Christmas Market:

Pre-Market Setup

• Vendor Applications: Inviting and processing applications.

• Market Planning: Assisting with the overall planning and organisation of the market.

• Site Preparation: Setting up stalls, tables, and decorations.

Market Day

• Greeter: Welcoming visitors and providing information about the market.

• Traffic Control: Directing traffic and ensuring smooth flow.

• Entertainment Coordinator: Overseeing live music, performances, and children's activities.

• Cleanup Crew: Cleaning up litter and debris throughout the day and after the market closes.

Post-Market Cleanup

• Breakdown: Disassembling stalls, tables, and decorations.

• Waste Removal: Removing rubbish and recycling.

• Equipment Storage: Storing equipment for future use.

By recruiting and organising a team of volunteers, we can ensure a successful and enjoyable Christmas market for everyone.
